Alex S. Amoah

Alex is an Assistant Consultant with DAB Consult with proficiency in project management, program design and implementation, development planning and administration, baseline studies, primary and applied research, impact assessment, project/program monitoring and evaluation, participatory rural appraisal, stakeholder mapping and analysis, design of survey instruments, tools and checklists, data collection, coding and analysis and capacity to evaluate socio-economic dynamics that impacts development policies. In addition, he had in depth experience in market research, investment appraisal, sector analysis, agric business, value chain analysis, financial analysis (historical and projected financial statements) and techniques for small and medium scale enterprise development.

Alex has been involved in numerous baseline studies, situational assessment, monitoring, evaluation and verifications of projects for Plan Ghana, Ghana Trade and Livelihood Coalition, ActionAid Ghana’s, Ministry of Education/ Ghana Education Service Coalition for the Advancement of Organic Farming (CAOF)/Christian Aid Ghana, and DANIDA, DFID, USAID & EU projects. In addition, He is part of the DAB Consult team providing services to Business Sector Advocacy Challenge Fund (BUSAC Fund), USAID/Financing Ghanaian Agricultural project (FinGAP), Techno Serve Ghana, EMPRETEC Ghana, USAID Trade and Investment Project (Trade Hub), USAID Ghana Poultry Project etc.

Alex is finalising his thesis for the award of a Master of Science Degree in Development Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He also holds a combined Bachelor Degree in Economics and Business Management from the University of Cape Coast. He has received training in project management, risk assessment, agricultural value chain finance, financial modelling, and participatory rural appraisal. In addition, he has undertaken competent base course in social research, management and maintaining of M&E database.
